MMC Coordinates The Ellen Show Segment on Behind-the-Scenes Footage of New COVERGIRL Commercial

Watch The Ellen Show today to get a look at the behind-the-scenes action captured at the recent COVERGIRL commercial shoot starring COVERGIRLs Ellen DeGeneres and Sofia Vergara. MMC worked with the show to coordinate the segment, previewing the commercial, which launches in January, along with a new product.

LAVIV® Named One of Allure Magazine’s “Best of Beauty” Breakthroughs

Each year, the Allure “Best of Beauty” Awards highlight the “best” products of the year in a variety of different areas, including skin care, eyes and breakthroughs. Today, Allure Magazine’s October 2011 issue hit newsstands with some exciting news: Fibrocell Science’s LAVIV® – the first and only personalized cell therapy approved by the FDA for aesthetic use, was named one of Allure’s 2011 “Best of Beauty” Breakthroughs!

LAVIV was approved by the FDA on June 22, 2011 for the improvement of the appearance of moderate to severe nasolabial fold wrinkles (smile lines) in adults. The patented technology behind LAVIV is an advanced process that extracts and multiplies a specific kind of a person’s skin cells (fibroblasts) to create LAVIV, which is then injected into the patient to improve the appearance of smile lines.  Each person’s formulation of LAVIV is unique because it is made from their own cells. LAVIV’s innovative process provides gradual and natural-looking results.

Other MMC “Best of Beauty” winners included CoverGirl’s Intense ShadowBlast Primer + Rich Shadow in Brown Bling in the make-up category and Aussie Heat’s 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deeeep Conditioner in the hair category.

Pat McGrath & Jessica Stam team up with COVERGIRL on upcoming collaboration

This weekend, Pat McGrath, P&G Global Creative Design Director, worked on an exciting COVERGIRL collaboration, including some amazing how-to videos, with fashion runway model, Jessica Stam. Pat gave her Twitter followers and COVERGIRL fans a sneak peek of the shoot, tweeting a gorgeous behind-the-scenes shot (see above) from the set. More news and additional details will be shared during the upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 New York Fashion Week!

Media Experience Getting-Glam with COVERGIRL Queen Collection

In conjunction with the BET Awards which took place last night, COVERGIRL Queen Collection partnered with makeup artist, Ashunta Sheriff, and her celebrity client, actress Tika Sumpter, to give a behind-the-scenes look at how to get red carpet ready for a group of media influencers in Los Angeles. Ashunta went through a detailed demonstration on Tika using COVERGIRL and COVERGIRL Queen Collection so guests were able to see the products come to life first-hand. Our media influencers were eagerly Tweeting along with Tika, taking pictures and jotting down Ashunta’s expert tips. After Tika’s look was complete, all media attendees received hairstyling, manicures and COVERGIRL Queen Collection-inspired makeovers, showcasing the Queen Collection Lip Color (“See Red” was definitely the lip color of the day). Throughout the fun-filled beauty experience, media learned about COVERGIRL Queen Collection’s exciting milestones, including celebrating that Queen Latifah has been a COVERGIRL for 10 years!

Taylor and Ellen Reveal What it’s Like to be a COVERGIRL

Check out this hilarious segment with Ellen DeGeneres and Taylor Swift on “How to be a COVERGIRL.”  It aired as part of a branded integration on The Ellen Show today.   COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation was featured in the comedic back and forth, with Taylor learning how to “sell her product” by sharing with the audience, “Women are raving about it because it’s made with real diamonds and magic.”

 

Sofia Vergara is the Newest COVERGIRL

Sofia adds Easy, Breezy, Beautiful to her list of credentials.   Today, live from the set of her ad shoot, Sofia Vergara shared her exciting new role as a COVERGIRL directly with her fans through her Twitter handle and Facebook page, as part of MMC’s strategy to make the announcement in real-time with Sofia’s fans and followers first. Immediately following Sofia’s announcement, interview features with the beautiful, talented comedic actress ran on People.com and PeopleenEspanol.com.  Following these high-profile exclusives, a robust social media plan to spread the news will be activated, which also includes leveraging COVERGIRL’s followers.
