MMC Nominated for 2011 WOMMY Award for U by Kotex* Campaign

Marina Maher Communications (MMC) and its digital partner Organic, Inc. have been nominated for a 2011 WOMMY Award by the Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA) for its Kimberly-Clark U by Kotex campaign.  The WOMMY is the only awards program focused solely on business results from word of mouth marketing.

The campaign was nominated in the “Introduction” category, which highlights the best word of mouth communication program to introduce a new product or service. Winners will be announced during the WOMMA Summit in Las Vegas on Thursday, November 17.  WOMMA announced the award nominees this morning.

The U by Kotex campaign has also won MMC and its client, Kimberly-Clark a 2011 SABRE Award, 2011 Big Apple Award and 2011 Silver Anvil Award of Excellence as well as a nomination for a 2011 PR Week Award.  The campaign, which targeted millennial women and encouraged “real talk” about such issues as vaginal health and menstruation, has changed the way this generation views the feminine care category and their view of periods.
