MMC Announces Four Senior Hires Including First Agency CMO: Expansion in Marketing, Digital & Recruitment Supports Focus on Growth

Marina Maher Communications (MMC) announced four senior staff additions that enhance and expand agency capabilities in areas that reflect the agency’s evolution to an integrated communications firm. These new hires include the agency’s first-ever Chief Marketing Officer, supported by a VP of marketing as well as a digital strategist and new talent acquisition director.

I am excited about the contributions they will make.”

  • Matthew Anderson joins the agency as Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer. As the agency’s first CMO, he is responsible for driving agency growth, overseeing all aspects of marketing and business development.  Anderson will sit on the agency’s Executive Committee and report to Marina Maher. He was most recently at design agency Code and Theory as Partner, Global Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for driving integrated brand marketing and digital growth for the agency across all offices and markets. He also has held key executive positions at Publicis, The Kaplan Thaler Group and Deutsch.

“Matthew brings a fresh perspective to our business,” said Maher. “With a successful CMO track record and a passion for integrated marketing and expertise in digital communications, his depth of knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to offer clients new ideas and new services.”   Reporting to Anderson is Annie Fileta, Vice President, Marketing, who will partner with him on agency marketing. Fileta was most recently at Golin, responsible for agency marketing and business development for the Eastern Region. Prior to Golin, she spent five years at PwC as the U.S. Marketing Manager, where she collaborated on marketing, thought leadership and communications strategy with key leadership.

  • Edwin Endlich joins MMC as Senior Vice President, Digital Consumer. Endlich’s focus at MMC is on social media, branded content and interactive experiences. He joins from Taylor, where was Vice President, Digital Creative Director, leading creative and strategic campaigns. Edwin won a 2014 Cannes Lion award for his work on the Taco Bell Breakfast Integrated Campaign, and has recently worked on top tier clients such as Westin, Capital One and Mercedes. Previously Edwin was the Vice President, Global Creative Director at Red Fuse, where he led creative strategy for the hand-picked WPP team dedicated to Colgate-Palmolive. He reports to Kim Stokes, Deputy Director of Digital Integration

“Edwin is the digital lead on MMC’s Consumer Lifestyle practice,” said Managing Director Kim Stokes. “He joins the digital leads on our other practices to ensure ongoing senior-level digital strategic thinking and innovation across all account teams.”

  • Matt Duralek joins MMC as of Vice President, Talent Acquisition, charged with recruiting best-in-class talent with diverse skills. Matt joins MMC from Rosetta, where he worked as the Director of Talent Acquisition, and developed strategies to recruit and retain the best available talent across multiple disciplines. Previously, Matt was the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at The CDM Group, where he led the recruitment, development and training of the agency.
