Men and Women Use Social Media Differently

Both sexes may be on Facebook, TwitterLinkedIn and other social media channels, but they’re not engaging in the exact same way, according to NM Incite.

Men are more likely to get “social” for their careers and love lives – to get a new business contact, job or date – while women are more likely to use social media as a creative outlet, to get discounts and provide positive feedback.

Men and women are equally as likely to use social media for everything else measured by NM Incite, including contact with friends and family, to follow celebrities/for entertainment and to learn about products and read consumer feedback.
