Marketing Trends of 2013: Content, Spend & Search

2014 is a new year, which means new marketing trends. Before we count down to the ball dropping and start new campaigns, events and programs, let’s take a moment to reflect on the top marketing moments of 2013:

  • 90% of B2C and 93% of B2B marketers are using content marketing, up from 85% in 2012
  • 61% of digital content publishers now offer native advertising opportunities (sponsored posts, tweets and advertorials)
  • 59% of brands would like to share more videos in 2014
  • 54% are on more than one content platform – up 10% from 2012
  • Mobile commerce spend was $4.7 billion in 2013, up from $0.6 billion in 2010
  • In September 2013, Google stopped providing data on search queries to site owners
