Michele’s expertise is building health and wellness brands. Her experience crafting programming and media strategy spans consumer health and Rx as well as therapeutic categories including women’s health, mental health, cardiovascular disease and allergies.
Experience
- Michele has a focus on reaching women across a variety of life stages. For example, Michele educated new and expectant moms about the benefits of routine vaccination for their baby on behalf of GlaxoSmithKline. She also mobilized moms to care for their families’ allergies on behalf of the Zyrtec family of products and their colds and flu on behalf of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. In addition Michele developed programs to encourage Boomer women to visit Walmart for their health and wellness needs and to care for their bones on behalf of Caltrate. Michele has served as a senior strategist helping to craft marketing communications for GlaxoSmithKline’s cervical cancer vaccine for women.
- In the cardiovascular space Michele oversaw communications efforts for GlaxoSmithKline’s CV franchise and Astra Zeneca’s investigational antiplatelet therapy, ticagrelor. Michele has also led franchise communications for clients including McNeil Consumer Health, GlaxoSmithKline vaccines and Walmart. Most recently Michele led communications strategy for Merck Women’s Health including their contraception and fertility brands.
Education/Special Skills
- Michele has conceptualized and executed many large-scale consumer initiatives including a campaign with Terry Bradshaw to raise consumer awareness of depression and anxiety, an educational initiative with Dr. Mehmet Oz and Bob Greene to get Americans moving in an effort to prevent cardiovascular events and a large-scale prostate cancer effort with Mike Wilbon, Dick Vitale and StandUpToCancer.
- Michele received her Master of Arts in Health Communication from Emerson College/Tufts
University School of Medicine. Michele received her B.S. in Communication from Arizona State University.
